Description
This listing is for a beautiful, custom built 1980 Honda CB750F Supersport. These were the motorcycles that really introduced the Japanese motorcycle makers into the American market. The Supersport was especially influential in that, and it helped establish the future and popularity of all Honda motorcycles overseas. Overall this bike is in wonderful condition. I'd say 9/10. It wasn't built to sit in a coffee shop window, so its condition reflects a motorcycle that was built to be ridden. The photos are very accurate, but in person its pretty damn mesmerizing. The motor is extremely strong and has very low miles. Just over 10k. This motorcycle is super reliable and is extremely fun to ride. Recent work includes a fully restored charging system, new field coil rotor, regulator and rectifier, and battery, rebuilt starter motor, new handlebars, hand controls, grips and master cylinder, rear master cylinder, custom exhaust, spark plugs, rear LED brake light and turn signals, custom gold paint trim on the original comstar wheels, modified and hooped original frame, cleaned and synced carburetors, new headlight bucket and front turn signals. Basically any part of the motorcycle that needed to be addressed was either replaced, restored, or updated to fit my vision for it. All work was done by a professional motorcycle repair shop in Chattanooga. The gas tank is from a 1981 Honda CX500 deluxe. It has been stripped down, primed and painted by a local paint shop. The color is a beautiful Audi color called Dayton Grey Pearl. Hex code 515555 if you wanted to look it up. The gold Honda badges for the tank looked really good with the gold on the wheels, so I opted to keep them on.This is truly the coolest CB750 I've ever seen and it gets a lot of attention. Its a rare and one-of-a-kind build that I'm confident will give the next owner many reliable years of riding and enjoyment. Overall its a beautiful, low mileage, and extremely fun motorcycle to ride. Feel free to ask any questions, but please refrain from doing so if you dont have a real interest in buying it. Also, I'm happy to help coordinate with delivery and pickup services. I've done it a few times in the past. All reasonable offers will be considered. Thanks for your interest.
