Vintage Pair Bobwhite Quail Driftwood Perch Bird Art Taxidermy Hunting Trophy

Description

Offered for purchase is a wonderful vintage set of stuffed bobwhite quails perched on a piece of driftwood. The base is also stamped with the maker's mark (photo 10 in the center).
Approx. dimensions:
Driftwood is about 12 inches long and 3.5 inches wide
Measuring from the base to the top of the tallest quail, it measures about 8 inches tall
Each quail measures approx. 8 inches from beak tip to tail.
Condition: Overall very good. The birds do show some wear consistent with age. I suspect a few feathers have been lost over the years, and some feathers look a bit ruffled. The driftwood base is a bit dusty, especially around the birds' feet (photo 11 for example). I did a little light dusting, but I did not want to risk damaging the item - I will leave any additional cleaning to the new owner. There is also one spot where a metal wire has poked through the feathers (photo 12).
